Who we are

Willo is provided by Willo (Pty) Ltd . By creating an account you agree to these terms.

What Willo is, and what it is not

Willo is a family file: a place to record where your original will is kept, keep a reference copy, and organise information your family may need, and to share some of it with people you invite.

• Willo is not a legal service. We do not give legal, tax or financial advice.
• Willo does not draft wills, and does not check whether a will is valid, complete or up to date.
• An uploaded will is a reference copy only. It does not replace your original signed will. In South Africa the Master of the High Court requires the original. Keep your original safe and record where it is.
• The calculators on our site are for illustration only and are not financial or tax advice.

For a valid will, or advice on your estate, please speak to a qualified attorney or fiduciary professional.

Your account and content

• You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. Keep your sign-in details safe.
• You are responsible for what you add, including information about other people. Only add other people's details if you have their permission.
• People you add as beneficiaries can see your profile details, will record and reference copy as soon as you add them. You can remove them at any time.
• Please do not store passwords, PINs or full card numbers in Willo.

Plans, billing and cancellation

• The Basic plan is free.
• Premium costs R129 per month, billed in advance through PayFast. Prices include VAT if applicable.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from Settings. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
• If you cancel or a payment fails, your account moves to the Basic plan. Information beyond the Basic plan limits is kept but you can't add more until you upgrade again.
• Refunds: There are no refunds, that is why you can cancel your subscription at any time.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.

Ending your account

You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings → Your data. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the law.

If Willo stops operating: We are committed and motivated to keep operating for many years to come.

Availability

We work to keep Willo available and your information safe, but we can't promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your original will and important documents safe outside Willo.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Willo is not liable for loss arising from: the validity or content of any will; decisions made using information stored in Willo or our calculators; or information you or people you invite add. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
